Cockapoo - Red

This is a little dog with a whole bunch of personality. I am so pleased I caught some of that character in her eyes!

Please meet Red. She is a cockapoo belonging to the lovliest of familes in Sussex, England. She was actually my last portrait for 2025 and fortunately delivery was local to me. Interestingly photos of Red are misleading suggesting her coat is a darker, warm red (as her name suggests) but IRL she’s got beautiful like cream and apricot curls. Perhaps, a result of the gene for fur colour recession, that so many poodle mixes grow into. Regardless, she’s a beauty with highlights and lowlights across her body!

Red’s portrait is a 10”x8” portrait drawn in Faber Castell Polychromos colour pencils.

English Retriever - Harry

Hard to believe but this hand drawn pet portrait is heading to California then on for a family Christmas unwrapping in Costa Rico before heading to his home in San Francisco!

Harry is a sweet, gentle English Retriever and belongs to Mark and Sam, and his portrait has been commissioned by Mark’s Mum to celebrate what a wonderful dog he is. She is, after all, his grand-paw-rent.

10”x8” portrait drawn in Faber-Castell Polychromos colour pencils.

Australian Shepherd - Kobe

This stunning boy’s pet portrait is a Christmas commission, from Mother to son, of her Granddoggie - Kobe the Australian Shepherd.

Having recently scared his paw-rents with an undiagnosed illness and a series of vet visits, x-rays and scans leaving everyone baffled. We’ve had the good news, the sudden re-appearance of a plastic toy has stopped all Kobe’s symptons and he’s rapidly returned to full health and back to his beautiful happy temperment.

Kobe is a 8”x10” portrait drawn in Faber-Castell Polychromos colour pencils.

Smokey Joe - the cat

Commissioned as a gift for his human Mum, Smokey Joe is a tactile cat who enjoys stretching out long and lean, along with his favourite past time of being stroked. A handsome boy he’s got the most incredible eyes which I think I’ve captured in his 12”x10” hand-drawn pet portrait.

Smokey Joe was also the star of my most viral TikTok video, racking up 15k+ views in the first week. You can find this, and other, popular videos on my TikTok account @animalartbytasha

Rottweiler - Pippi

The most magestic Rotweiller, Pippi lives up to her heritage. She is steady, obedient and alert. The German bred Rottweillers are known at Rottweiler Metzgerhund - meaning Butchers’ dogs as their main use was to herd livestock and pull carts laden with butchered meat to market.

Pippi’s life is much different. She lives in Denmark and is very much part of the family. She is calm and self assured, devoted to her humans.

Drawn in Faber-Castell Polychromos colour pencils.
